How long does it take to build a new TJH home?

With TJH, you’ll have the peace of mind that comes from our delivery guarantee. We promise to complete your new home within 12 months of starting construction, which is just one way we make your new home journey more enjoyable.
What can I expect during the construction process?
Your personal build experience manager will guide you along the way. You’ll have opportunities at multiple stages of the construction process to walk through your home and view the progress with your build experience manager. We know communication is essential, that’s why we send updates regularly and celebrate milestones with you in special ways.
The communication was great. We were given the timeline from the beginning, as well as what to expect and at what point in the process. At every point in the construction process it was very clear what kind of decisions we had to make. And it was really seamless, the handover from team to team. I was out of the country for a large part of the year, and it was not a problem because the communication was so good.

What will I have to do while my home is being built?
Our end-to-end process makes building more seamless and easier for our homeowners. We take care of the details, from pulling permits to installing finishes, so you don’t have to waste time coordinating with contractors.
You’ll move out of your home for the duration of construction. Fortunately, we provide resources to make finding a place to stay easier. Our delivery guarantee is extremely helpful when considering where to live during construction so you’ll have a better idea of how long you’ll need temporary housing. What do I have to do before my home is built?
The first step is to get your free BUILD Analysis, during which our Private Client Group will provide you with information about building with us. Many homeseekers find that building a new home with us is right for them.
When you build with us, you’ll enjoy the unique opportunity of working with our expert designers at the TJH Design Studio to select your plan, optional structural features, and design elements including appliances, cabinet colors, flooring, wall treatments, lighting, and other finishing touches, all before contract signing. You’ll be able to compare home plans, try out structural options and design elements, and walk through your selected home virtually with our REVEAL app. You’ll also see material samples in person.
