Lafayette
Named after Marquis de Lafayette, a French war hero, Lafayette is a family-friendly suburb next to Walnut Creek and a quick 25 minute BART ride from San Francisco. Alamo
Bordering Walnut Creek to the south, and nestled between Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park and Mt. Diablo is Alamo. It attracts residents with a variety of dining and shopping options, picturesque neighborhoods, and outdoor activities in every direction. But another major appeal for families in this area is the amount of space that the sizable home lots in Alamo offer.
