Art on Ocean Festival
Looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday? On August 8, Ocean Avenue will be transformed into Art on Ocean, a free, family-friendly outdoor festival celebrating local art, music, food, and community, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Pacific.
Browse work from more than 100 local artists, enjoy live music, sample food from local favorites, explore the wine garden, and let the kids take part in family-friendly activities throughout the day. The celebration concludes with a free outdoor screening of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle under the stars.
Music in the Garden
Make the most of summer with the Getty’s annual Garden Concerts for Kids series. Set in the beautiful Central Garden, these free, family-friendly performances invite kids and parents alike to dance, sing, and enjoy live music from a variety of talented artists.
Pack a picnic and a blanket, relax on the lawn, and enjoy an afternoon of music in one of Los Angeles’ most scenic settings. Admission is free, though a timed museum reservation is required.
Beach Volleyball in Manhattan Beach
Experience one of Southern California’s most iconic summer traditions as the Manhattan Beach Open returns to the sand. Watch Olympic medalists, AVP professionals, and rising stars compete in one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.
General admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis, making it the perfect opportunity to spend a day at the beach while enjoying world-class competition and the excitement of one of volleyball’s biggest events.
