Tommy Beadel and James Quandt founded Thomas James Homes in Aliso Viejo in 2006. However, the company didn’t start building in Orange County until 2021.
Since then, TJH has significantly expanded its operations in the area, spurred in part by homeowners relocating from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Orange County. TJH is currently building 31 new construction homes in OC neighborhoods, like Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and San Clemente, that have little or no land to develop and few available resale homes.
We’re building brand-new houses in the best neighborhoods. We had customers in Los Angeles asking if we had any projects in OC, and if we would build them a home down here. It was great timing.—Tommy Beadel, Founder and Chairman, Thomas James Homes
In the future, the company hopes to expand its offerings to include more entry-level homes in North Orange County neighborhoods like Anaheim and Westminster.
TJH is currently building more than 500 new homes in California, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and Arizona. TJH also offers two solutions for homeowners wanting to build a customizable home.
James Mead, who joined TJH as chief financial officer in 2021, recently became the company’s CEO.
Tommy has placed us on the right track; my job going forward is to continue our important mission.—James Mead, CEO, Thomas James Homes
