From state parks to the arts

One of the many allures of the East Bay is the endless possibilities of the area, whether you’re a city dweller or crave space to roam and explore. Among the highlights is access to Mt. Diablo State Park, just east of Walnut Creek, Alamo, and Danville. Outdoor enthusiasts can hike the trails up to the 3,849-foot summit and take in views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Mount Lassen, and even Yosemite on a clear day.

This March, The Reiser Group will celebrate its 23rd anniversary. Owned by Tom, born with real estate in his genes; his father was a home developer in Contra Costa County. It’s also where Tom formed The Reiser Group in 1999 after earning his bachelor’s degree in business and real estate and embarking on his first development project in Walnut Creek. A natural leader, Tom heads up business development for the company and oversees the company’s portfolio of communities, land transactions, and potential opportunities.

Before working together, Steve’s experience spanned real estate, hospitality, and data technology. He successfully developed and launched a global hotel consulting firm, followed by a brokerage company in Walnut Creek. Active in the local community, he is a planning commissioner for the City of Walnut Creek and Past-President of Contra Costa Association of Realtors. At The Reiser Group, he oversees all sales operations and has led the initiative with our TJH Northern California division to identify potential homesites. Safe to say, he stays pretty busy.

Tom Reiser
President & Founder

Tom directs The Reiser Group’s business development efforts. He oversees day-to-day activities across the company’s portfolio of new home communities and land transactions. Growing up in a family of real estate developers, it was only natural for Tom to combine his inherent abilities with his professional experience by forming The Reiser Group in 1999. 

Tom has held various leadership positions for some of the largest, most notable homebuilders in the region. The combination of his impeccable reputation and respect earned over three decades in the industry sustains The Reiser Group’s position as an industry leader. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Business/Real Estate from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a die-hard Buffaloes fan.

 

Steve Reiser
Sales Operations Director

Steve’s background in real estate, hospitality, and data-technology spanning more than 30 years make him ideally suited to oversee Sales Operations at The Reiser Group. He founded the first of its kind competitive meeting intelligence operation and platform now considered a standard in the global hotel industry. He subsequently managed the organization through two structured acquisitions in a senior leadership capacity.

He has held various leadership roles in organized real estate at the local and state level, including past President of the Contra Costa Association of Realtors, Director at the California Association of Realtors and Board Member of the California Real Estate Political Action Committee (CREPAC), one of the largest and most influential state PACs in the country. ​Steve is currently serving his first term on the City of Walnut Creek Planning Commission. He stays involved with local community-focused organizations, including the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce Civic Affairs Committee & Walnut Creek Community Homelessness Task Force.
